Desmond Mason out of Oklahoma State played 10 years in the NBA for the Seattle Supersonics, Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Also, he was the 2001 NBA Slam Dunk Champion. Mason had a very respectable NBA career, which is a lifetime highlight for most, but Mason may end up leaving a bigger mark pursuing his passion of art. Mason is an accomplished painter and sales his pieces at the Desmond Mason Art Show to benefit charities. Vice Sports caught up with Desmond Mason for the ‘Athletes After the Fact’ series. He spoke about his love of art, and life in and after the NBA.
